We try to provide compliance of static bearing system with other disciplines. With the awareness that success is teamwork, we pay attention that not only the static solution, but the whole building is healthy, economic, implementable and coherent. For determining the bearing system suitable for the purpose of the building, we recommend different alternative systems with the usage of steel, reinforced concrete, mixed, wood, stainless steel, aluminium, glass columns-glass beams and suspension-tension cables. Composite, pre- and post- tension methods are used successfully.

The tendency of architecture nowadays besides classic orthogonal building forms to amorphous, free form or nodular geometries has made obligatory the development of static design services. Being aware of that SAY PROJE provides free form static design services. SAY PROJE has completed the infrastructure for these services. We provide for the conversion of two-sided curved architectural surfaces and amorphous to static programs with our own software. By means of the developing 3D programs preliminary design preparation for all kinds of freeform structures has been facilitated a lot. However, to be able to design executable freeform structures it is a must for architectural and static groups to proceed together at each design stage. It is also obligatory for the static design group to be well-informed on the subjects of all kinds of materials, point detail, production and installation, together with calculation and dimentioning skills.
For the sake of determining the most suitable system, we compile a LOAD-BEARING SYSTEM REPORT, as regards the subject of choosing between steel-reinforced concrete or mixed elements for the load-bearing system. The solution is decided upon, taking into consideration the geometric characteristics, function, execution speed, site conditions, work conditions in the country and abroad, seasonal difficulties and means of execution team, and by doing meetings with the client, architect and official bodies.

In the residential and ofice buildings the earthquake regulations are more related to the human health and safety rather than to the buildings themselves.


In large buildings even if the building itself is damaged, it is essential that peolple inside survive. In cases when most of residential and office buildings are low-rise - standard, such point of view is sufficient. It is relatively easy  to restore and reopen such buildings for usage after the earthquake. The increse of quantity of high-rise buildings makes it important, whether earthquake survivors can securely  enter the building affected by the earthquake. Can the cost and duration of post-earthquake reinforcement and re-use of building of such scale be bearable for an individual or the whole nation? As SAY PROJECT, besides the current earthquake regulations in force we perform advanced static calculations with PERFORM ANALYSIS - F.E.M ANALYSIS METHODS for the forecasted post-earthquake residence.

In addition, SAY PROJE and İ.T.Ü together provide earthquake monitoring service in order not to experience the time-consuming periods of examination and reporting the safety of a building with visual cracks in the turbulent environment after a big earthquake. In this service, building movements are monitored by putting electronic readers in the appropriate locations during the construction phase of buildings with reinforced concrete bearing structure. The consistence of the structure moving under the external loads such as changes during the construction stage, storms, earthquakes is controlled with a static model. After the big earthquake, the information backed up in İ.T.Ü Laboratories and SAY PROJE server is examined and a preliminary report is prepared on the status of the work.
